PADI Basic Mermaid

Our PADI Mermaiding courses are the foundation for your development as a mermaid or merman. Here you will learn the most important rules of mermaid swimming so that you too will soon be as elegant as the mermaids in the pictures.

In the PADI Basic Mermaid Course you will learn the most important rules of mermaid swimming. Because your safety and that of other sailors is the first priority. You will learn how to move safely with the mermaid fin in and under water, how to rest on the water without sinking, learn the mermaid sign language and how to descend properly.

Course Content

• Short equipment theory
• Learn how to use the equipment
• Safety
• Warm-up exercises
• 1 pool lesson

Requirements

• good swimming skills
• 25 meter swimming without bouyancy aid
• Comfortably floating on the surface for 3 minutes
• Minimum age: 8 years (6 years for VIP and private courses)

Included

• PADI Basic Mermaid certification

Equipment 

• Mask, snorkel, monofin including mermaid findcover, weight and belt

Complete mermaid equipment is provided in this course

Course Type

Group courses offered by us are advertised with fixed dates (see "Course dates"). If you have a busy schedule or want to enjoy individual attention, we recommend the VIP course. The private course is designed for a self-formed small group of two or three people. For VIP or private course bookings, please indicate a few possible dates in the "Message" field when you register.

Insurance

Insurance is in the responsibility of the participant. We recommend a membership with the Schweizer Unterwasser–Sport–Verband SUSV.

General Terms and Conditions and Cancellation Policy

We refer to our general terms and conditions, in particular to the cancellation policy. The mentioned registration fee is CHF 60.00 per participant.
