PADI Instructor

The Instructor Development Course (IDC) consists of two parts, which can be attended either separately or combined. The Assistant Instructor (AI) and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) are the two separate parts. It is possible to attend only the AI (the first of the two parts), and the OWSI (continuing part) at a later date; however, we recommend that you complete the course in its entirety. Upon successful completion of the full IDC you are ready to take the Instructor Examination (IE).

Requirements
- PADI Divemaster or equivalent training
- Minimum age 18 years 
- 60 dives at the beginning of the course, 100 dives until the exam
- Proven experience in night, deep and navigation diving
- EFR Instructor

Diving equipment
Every instructor candidate needs his own complete diving equipment.

With us there is more than just the booked course lessons
During the course days lunch is included. You can also use our infrastructure in Bern at any time to practice. A PADI Course Director or PADI Staff Instructor is always on hand to answer questions. We are also happy to help you find suitable accommodation in Bern.
