PADI River & Current Diver in Ticino

Ticino with its crystal clear rivers is considered one of the best diving destinations in Europe. In the Verzasca and the Maggia we dive in crystal clear water between imposing rock formations past grops and trouts. The boundary between air and water seems almost unreal. Come along, experience it for yourself. Of course we are also looking forward to the culinary highlights in Ticino.

River diving is very dependent on weather and water level, therefore a short term postponement of the dives is possible.

Course content

• Planning and preparation of river dives
• Special equipment needed
• Principles of river diving
• Assessment of the water
• Dive planning, execution and equipment
• 2 to 3 dives in the river spread over 2 days

Theory

The theoretical part will be completed in advance in Bern or Zurich.

Requirements

• PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or equivalent certification
• Minimum age: 12 years

Not included are travel, accommodation and meals. 

Equipment

Complete equipment is required. Missing can be rented from us during the course at discounted prices.

Course type

Group courses offered by us are advertised with fixed dates (see "Course dates"). If you have a busy schedule or would like to enjoy individual attention, we recommend a VIP course. The private course is designed for a self-formed small group of two or three people. For VIP or private course bookings, please indicate a few possible dates in the "Message" field when you register.

PADI Drift Diver

If desired, the PADI Drift Diver certification can be purchased at a special price of CHF 60.00.

Insurance

Insurance is the responsibility of the participant. We recommend a membership with the Swiss Underwater Sports Association SUSV.
